JOHANNESBURG, July 24 (Reuters) - Kumba Iron Ore <KIOJ.J>, Africa's top producer of the steelmaking raw material, expects to boost full year production by up to 38 million tonnes, and forecast a limited impact on output from a power crisis.
"We expect to produce about 37 to 38 million tonnes this year," Chief Executive Officer Chris Griffith told Reuters.
Griffith said he does not expect much impact from a power crisis that has engulfed South Africa since January, and the company was relying more on diesel fired power.
Kumba company officials said they expected China to drive demand for the commodity in the next 3-5 years. (Reporting by James Macharia)
