June 21 (Reuters) - Sports news in brief from around the world.

Soccer - Morocco went back to the top of 2010 World Cup African qualifying Group Eight, ending the 100 percent record of Rwanda with a 2-0 win in Casablanca on Saturday.

An early penalty from captain Youssef Safri and a strike just after halftime from Nabil El Zhar sealed victory.

Rwanda played the last 23 minutes with 10 men after defender Patrick Mafisango was sent off.

Soccer - German coach Reiner Hollman will take charge of Egypt giants Zamalek for the coming season, after agreeing one a year deal, the Cairo-based club announced.

Hollman returns to Egypt after having had a spell with their arch rivals Al Ahli in 1996-97, when he won the Egypt league title twice. Zamalek and Al Ahli meet next month in the African Champions League.

The 59-year-old has extensive experience in the Middle East and also coached Galatasaray in Turkey. Hollman replaces Dutch coach Ruud Krol, who has left Zamalek for South African club Orlando Pirates.

Soccer - Asante Kotoko clinched the Ghana league title on Saturday, beating Real Sportive 2-1 in Kumasi to move into an unassailable position.

Kotoko, who enjoy a 13 point lead at the head of the premier league standings, have now won 21 league championships, two more than their arch rivals Hearts of Oak, who were controversial winners of the last championship last year.

Soccer - South African international Sibusiso Zuma has signed for former champions Mamelodi Sundowns, moving from German Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld, officials said.

The 32-year-old, who missed his country's four World Cup qualifiers over the last month because of a knee injury, has signed a two year deal with the Pretoria club.
